It is with great joy that I can tell you my beloved Bernard is at last home from hospital :-)
It had been a very long, traumatic, stressful, exhausting and scary 5 1/2 weeks but with your support and prayers, we have survived.
I can't thank you enough for your support.
He's tired and weak but I will build him up and I know he will get back to normal.
The NHS staff have performed a miracle and I am so grateful to them for their skills and dedication in their work - be they cleaner or surgeon!
He needs a lot of looking after and I'm not sure when I will be back posting but it will be asap.
God bless you all,
Alison and Bernard xx
A place to show you my parchment cards and hopefully inspire you to have a try at this beautiful craft.

another update
Unfortunately, though Bernard's heart is fine, his kidneys will not kick in. He's waiting to see a specialist from another hospital. He's on permanent filtration at the moment but it's keeping him alive. He's still in icu.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers; they are gratefully received.

Quick update on Bernard.
Hello friends,
Bernard spent a week at the Royal Free Hospital before crashing again.
He was blue lighted to the National Heart Hospital and had an emergency triple bypass last Wednesday.
He's still in ICU as has complications but is making slow and steady progress.
The last 2 weeks had been a nightmare and I'm shattered.
May I ask for your continued prayers and I wish you all a Happy Easter.
God bless
