My first border design!

My first border design on the bold grid.

Very simple - I bet a 2yr old could have done it lol.

Added a decoupage cat and base card by Dawn Bibby.

sunflowers

I saw this design in a Parchment Craft mag and thought "I can do that border!"

So many hours later and lots of held breath and this is how it turned out.

Border designed by Carla Prediger.
I used a bold square grid.

Die cut peel off sunflower mounted in the middle.

Cut my own red frame.

grid and lace work butterfly

A very kind lady (Sylvia) on DC gave me two grids; one bold and one fine.

With the help of Christine Coleman's dvd I have been playing and practising.

This is my first piece of work.

I sent it to Sylvia as a thank you.

 

 

 

 

 

I used the bold grid to make the butterfly, embossed, cut the crosses and then pricked and cut around it and through the red backing card.

Sewn onto the red card.
