The Christmas Angel....

by Julie Roces in PCM.

It's not often I am really happy with my work (very self critical!) but I was delighted with how this card turned out (sorry if that sounds big headed :-0  )

It took me on and off 3 weeks to make. Lots of pricking and cutting invoved as well as grid work, colouring and embossing.
The dress, sleeve and one wing are layered.

This is my card to you all, to thank you for your visits and comments and for your support this year.

May I wish you a very merry Christmas and a healthy and happy 2016.

God bless xx

variations on a theme

Trying our silhouettes for this year's Christmas cards.
Printed straight onto the parchment paper then embossed.
The frames came free with a PCM so I embossed and cut them out.
Lovely satin ribbon from Hobbycraft.

Thanks for visiting and for your comments.
Greatly appreciated xx

nativity silhouette

I've made a start on my Christmas cards.

after all, that's what CHRISTmas is about.

A very simple downloaded image backed with rainbow paper.

new home....

...by Judith Maslen
in parchmentcraft magazine.

My younger daughter is buying her first home and is hopefully getting the keys in a couple of weeks.
I made a complete mess of the middle of this card so decided to cut it out and put a piccie of her flat in (thank goodness for Google street view!)
Hers is the bottom flat.
So my disaster became a happy accident lol!

Thank you for visiting me and for any comments: always appreciated xx

One for fun!

Just to show it's not all about pretty flowers lol!

Made this fun card for my best friend; bit of a story, so go and make a cuppa and settle down.....

Gail lives near Glasgow and I live in London.
I used to go up on the plane to visit her every year but became too ill to continue.

A few years ago she invested in a caravan and so was able to travel to a site near me each year during the summer hols. Two years ago she bought a big caravan.

When she came down this year it was during the "rainy" season :-0. It didn't stop pouring the whole time she was here. It was so loud on the roof we could barely hear each other speaking!
Didn't spoil our enjoyment of being in each others company though and we had a cream tea two days running :-))))

So I made this for her birthday and made sure the sun was shining in it :-)
She saw the funny side of it and we had a good laugh on the phone.

The design of the car/caravan is actually from a stitching pattern.

OK you can stop yawning with boredom lol ;-)

Parchment as backing.

Parchment doesn't always have to be the main part of a card.
Here I've pierced a simple border and used it as backing.
